Seattle Prep Website Redesign

Telling stories, not pitching taglines...
One of my first projects after joining Seattle Prep was to completely redesign our school's website. To distinguish us from our competitors, which typically use a static set of images with buzzwords like "community" and "mission," I chose to base the homepage on a rotator of stories from campus. This gave our school depth and showed that we offered an education rich with experiences all year long.  It also gave our all of our constituents (prospective families, current families, and alumni/friends) a reason to frequently check in on the school.

I curate, write, and photograph stories based on an editorial calendar I built that aims to give prospective families and authentic look at life at Prep.

I led this project from end-to-end, from concept to production. Since its implementation, admissions applications are up 24%, development fundraising goals (to date) are by 9%, and site engagement is up by 175%.

Art Directing & Editing Panther Tracks Alumni Magazine

Bright photos, clean design, consistent brand...
Working with our graphic designer, I restructured the typically text-heavy magazine to focus on large, dynamic photo spreads and keep the editorial content fun and readable.

I chose a perfect binding and matte paper to give the magazine a modern feel.
